Western Canada, Vancouver Island and Whistler
Western Canada and the Canadian Rockies offer numerous opportunities to view fantastic scenery and travel off the beaten path. Our vacations offer a wide array of destinations such as Vancouver Island, Whistler, home of the 2010 Winter Games and the Rockies. Our modes of travel are just as varied using Via Rail Skeena service, Rocky Mountaineer, and B. C. Ferries' daylight cruise of the Inside Passage. All the Western Canada tours can be added to any cruise leaving or arriving in Vancouver or Seattle.
Winter Tours
The Aurora Borealis is one of nature's most spectacular shows! Nowhere is the viewing of this show better than in Alaska. Alaska in the winter is beautiful and we have developed three basic vacation ideas for your visit. Our vacation ideas range from a short visit focused on seeing the Northern Lights, to a longer vacation that travels the rails past a sleeping Mt. McKinley, blanketed in snow. Our crown jewel is an escorted vacation that takes in the Northern Lights, the Ice Carving Competition and the start of the "Last Great Race" the Iditarod.
Great River Journey
Imagine traveling with only 10 other guests on a journey of discovery and adventure. The Great River Journey is just that. Departing from Whitehorse this journey retraces the steps of the gold crazed miners of 1898. You'll travel the mighty Yukon River in specially designed river cruisers. You're accommodations are lodges on Lake Labarge and along the river. Special trips are made into First Nations villages so you get an understanding of the life of the first settlers in the region. Your guides are historians, naturalists and above master story tellers as they recount the legend and myths of the greatest gold ever seen.
Experience Alaska Tour
Last year this tour sold out. Like our yacht program guests wanting to explore Alaska on an in depth vacation should take advantage of this tour. Travel in the ultimate statement of exclusivity, our 8 guests coach, complete with a driver/guide/concierge that will not only inform you about the State but will ensure you see the unapparent treasures. This vacation visits both the Wrangell St. Elias and Denali National Parks. In each Park a flightseeing excursion is included so you can experience the grandeur of these majestic National treasures.
Yacht Cruises and Tours
Guests wanting to truly explore Alaska on an intimate and personal cruise of discovery look no further than our Yacht Cruisetours. Your vacation begins or ends with a 3-night or 7-night cruise aboard a private yacht. Our vessels range from only 12 - 22 guests, so you can truly have a once in a lifetime adventure visiting the intricate coves and hidden waterways of Alaska's Inside Passage. Wildlife abounds off the beaten path in Alaska and these yachts will take you there. These cruises are complimented by a 4-night exploration to Denali National Park.
