This vacation is a complete exploration of Western Canada visiting Victoria, Vancouver, Banff, Jasper, and Prince George. The vacation features daylight cruising of the Inside Passage, daylight rail travel to the Canadian Rockies and tour to the middle of a glacier. One of our best values!
Day 1 - Arrive Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver and transfer to your hotel. The balance of your day is free to explore this great city.
Day 2 - Vancouver Sightseeing
Today enjoy a Hop On Hop Off city tour of Vancouver. This tour will allow you to visit the city's attractions for as long as you wish. Your pass is good for two days so you can use it as you see fit.
Day 3 - Vancouver to Victoria
The morning is yours to explore Vancouver. This afternoon board your coach for a scenic ride to Victoria, through the Gulf Islands. You arrive in Victoria and transfer to your hotel.
Day 4 - Victoria Sightseeing
This morning enjoy a tour of Victoria and the world famous Butchart Gardens. The tour is designed so if you wish to spend extra time at the Gardens you can. The rest of the day is free to explore this charming city.
Day 5 - Victoria to Port Hardy
This morning you will tour the full length of Vancouver Island. Along the way you will stop at Brentwood Bay, Duncan Chemanus, and Campbell River. Many picture stops are made and there will be time for a no host lunch. You arrive at the northern end of the Island at approximately 6:00pm.
Day 6 - Inside Passage Cruising
Board B.C. Ferries for a daylight cruise of the famed Inside Passage to Prince Rupert. There will be activity at every turn so be alert. A variety of venues are available for your comfort from the café, lounge and full service restaurant. Upon arrival in Prince Rupert you transfer to your hotel.
Day 7 - Prince Rupert to Prince George
Today board Via Rail for a full daylight trip through the Coast Mountains and into the Caribou area of British Columbia. The Skeena service will have you travel through some of the most beautiful scenery in B. C. You overnight in Prince George tonight.
Day 8 - Prince George to Jasper
Continue on Via Rail through the Yellowhead Pass. This route will bring you to the north end of the Rockies at Jasper National Park. Arrive tonight at approximately 10:00pm and transfer to your hotel.
Day 9 - Free Day in Jasper
Wake this morning In Jasper. You have the day to yourself to explore this town. Go hiking or take an optional tour to Maligne Lake.
Day 10 - Jasper to Banff
Today you will board your coach for a tour along the Icefield Parkway, exploring an area of outstanding beauty. Along the way you will stop at the Columbia Icefields where you will take a Snocoach Excursion onto the glacier. You continue on the Parkway to Banff for the evening.
Day 11 - Banff
Today is free to explore Banff on your own. Maybe you will ride the Gondola or visit the original Banff Hot Springs
Day 12 - Banff to Calgary
Depart this morning for the Calgary airport by motorcoach. Your tour ends upon arrival at the Calgary Airport. Or ask about travelling back to Vancouver on the Rocky Mountaineer.
