Day 1 Arrive
Winnipeg
Arrive in Winnipeg. At a Welcome dinner tonight
meet your adventure specialist and fellow
adventures. (D)
Day 2 Arctic Arrival & Ariel Tour
Fly to
Churchill where one of the expert staff
will meet you and will provide you with an orientation
to the tour including clothing check.
You will then be flown to the Seal River Heritage
Lodge. This exciting flight takes you out
over the historic Churchill River, and then
northwest along the rugged Hudson Bay coast
to Canada's most exclusive route for caribou,
seals, wolves and of course the "Great Ice Bears". Upon your arrival, your hosts will provide
a tour of the Lodge and get you settled into
your room. A thorough orientation on travelling
in polar bear country will be provided and then
we are off to photograph the bears. (B, L, D)
Day 3 - 5 | Polar Bears, Polar Bears
Our
Seal River Heritage Lodge is a wildly rugged
and photographer willing to spend long
hours in the field getting up close and personal
with the Arctic wildlife. Ground level photo opportunities
are offered for Arctic wildlife including
polar bears in a pristine wilderness setting.
We ARE in the heart of polar bear country! Your
photos will have stunning backdrops with the
sea and or landscapes surrounding the Lodge.
Its shoreline location is ideal for photographing
bears on snow and ice. Additionally the nights
are generally clear and cold at the lodge for excellent
Northern Light viewing. (B, L, D)
The lodge features gourmet meals and fine
wine. All menus use local fare and meals are
adjusted based on viewing conditions. Evenings
are spent near the fireplace downloading
images, sharing the day's adventures, or
taking in an informative lecture or slide show.
The Lodge area is located in polar bears habitat
so there is night time viewing opportunities
as well.
Day 6 – Lodge to
Winnipeg
After another hearty breakfast and it is time
to pack for the flight back to Churchill, say
good-byes and snap a few more pictures. After
another exciting aerial tour, you'll arrive in
Churchill where your bags will be stored for you
until your flight back to Winnipeg later in the
day. The day is free with option too many to
list here. Late the day you fly back to Winnipeg

Day 7 - TIME FOR REALITY...
After a restful sleep and breakfast at the hotel,
you depart for home. You take with you some
incredible photographs and memories. (B)
